I provide both individual and family work to my clients depending on the situation and the need. I work with teens, parents, young adults and families that are looking for help with their symptoms, behaviors, coping strategies and communication patterns.

Family Counseling
My passion is helping families work better together. Sometimes we don’t understand one another and how others in our family system operate. The way someone else in our family communicates can seem foreign to us. In a family session we can pull apart how each person operates to provide a better understanding of one another. We will create goals together. We will look more closely at some of the negative patterns we have become stuck in and create new healthy patterns moving forward.
Individual Therapy
Are you having a difficult time handling the struggles in your life? Do you tend to bottle up your feelings and keep things inside? Could you use a non-judgmental ear just to listen? Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems out of fear of judgement or a negative response? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you’ve been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
Parent Coaching
Nothing really prepares you to become a parent. Some of us were lucky enough to have parents that set a good example. But others grew up in homes where the dynamic between child and parent was anything but functional or consistently loving. I can help you look at the dynamic in your parenting situation and provide tools to help create a healthy structure at home for you and your child. We will look at routines and habits of you and your child and identify healthy changes that need to be made from everyone. ” If nothing changes, nothing changes.” I will help you become stronger in setting these healthy limits and boundaries in place for you and your child. We will also look at creating a healthy communication plan together that you can practice and use daily.
Therapy for Teens
Is your teen under a lot of stress? Do they not seem as happy as they once did? Are they isolating and seeming much more irritable than usual? Have their eating and sleeping habits drastically changed? Do you suspect they maybe using drugs or engaging in self injury?
Most of us remember our teenage years as a combination of great fun, sudden freedom, and a tremendous amount of stress. During this time our hormone levels are skyrocketing, making us feel emotionally out of control. We also feel a greater need to perform well academically and fit into social circles. All of this stress can take its toll on a teen’s mental health and overall well-being.
